As December brings 2020 to a close, we take this opportunity to provide a timely reminder to our busy customers to try to make time for annual maintenance on any Ampegon equipment you may have.

Ampegon designs and builds systems for an expected lifetime measured in decades, assuming simple preventative maintenance is completed regularly. In many parts of the world, the year-end is a time for system shutdown, allowing engineering access to equipment.

At this time, we remind our customers to check electronic boards and cable insulation for any signs of discolouration or dust, test that safety interlocks are free and able to operate correctly, and check the condition of consumable items such as air-filters, contactors, etc. If your system features water cooling, a check of header tank levels, water conductivity and flow rates are also recommended. If possible, ensure that any idle motors used for tuning or output optimization are energized by changing control settings. For additional, system-specific maintenance tips, please see the relevant section of your system’s manual.

2020 saw the launch of our new eService portal on our website. If you require any spares, or need to consult Ampegon to arrange a maintenance visit next year, the eService system provides a simple and easy way to contact us: Simply email supportampegon.com or use the relevant contact forms on our eService pages.

Please note that Ampegon’s offices and factory will be closed between 24th December 2020 and January 4th January 2021, so we may not be able to respond immediately during the holiday period. However, our eService support team will respond as soon as possible.

2020 has presented many challenges around the world, but everybody at Ampegon looks forward to continuing work with our friends and customers in 2021. We wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year, in addition to a successful maintenance period!
