Medical science has developed a range of cancer therapy technologies utilising such particle accelerators, for example for proton- or heavy-ion particle therapy or radioisotope production.

Every year, an estimated 12’000 people receive cancer treatment from particle therapy accelerators powered using Ampegon systems, a fact that we are very proud of, and a number that we are working to continually increase.
